About Anti-Fast Fashion Clothing
Anti-Fast Fashion Clothing was created by Poppy, Lewis and Bradley, all aged 17, from Brighton, Hove & Sussex Sixth Form College.
The app allows people to find out how eco-friendly and ethical fashion brands really are, so that can make the best choices when shopping.
What is your product and who is it for?
Our product is an app that will display clothing items by companies that produce ethically made clothing.
What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?
Our idea is to try and reduce the amount of fast fashion bought. This is important to us as many companies do not make ethical clothing, in short, this means their clothes use up natural resources and they do not treat their workers properly.
How does your product solve the problem?
Our app would be similar to something like ASOS or JD Sports where we can sell and advertise products from other companies. All the companies would be Environmentally friendly and Ethically good businesses. Small businesses could be put on our app as well to help support growing businesses. This app would help people understand what Fast Fashion is, and it gives people an opportunity to help fight against it. At the moment, buying products such as clothing that are ethically good is difficult since the clothing market is dominated by big brands who support fast fashion. This app would help people find places that do not support it.
Why should your product win its category and why should people vote for you in the People’s Choice Award?
Our Product should win based not only on the function of the app but how much it could change the world if used enough. It combats something so overlooked in modern society and acts as a safety net for people who have no idea how to prevent unethical shopping.
