HelpZone

Anonymous support for young people who need it

About HelpZone

HelpZone has been created by Akrit, Lewis, Martha, Lewis and Jack from Rosshall Academy in Scotland.

The app helps users to reach experts anonymously and reflect on their day in a safe space for them.

How did you come up with the idea for HelpZone?

We realised that in our community [and around the world], people suffer from many different mental health problems daily, and not many can access expert help. But, what if they could?

We came up with an app called HelpZone that solves this problem in an effective, efficient, modern and friendly way

How did you go about developing the solution?

Once we came up with the idea, we developed it further by doing market research. We did a survey in our school, we interviewed a mental health specialist and we looked online for more research in mental health. Once we did our research, we spent time making a user-friendly interface and design.

How does HelpZone work?

Our app is essentially a platform in which users will be able to anonymously contact experts and professionals for help and advice regarding mental health. To enhance our apps UX we will integrate an AI interface to help users navigate our app or just be there for a friendly chat with our users.

Why should your product win its category and why should people vote for you in the People’s Choice Award?

Our product not only benefits the lives of school children, it will benefit our modern society as negative mental health is experienced everywhere world-wide. We believe HelpZone will really make a difference and it's the start of building a better tomorrow. HelpZone, building a better tomorrow.
