We've worked with Apps for Good for years, and it's evolved from a couple of schools into the amazing Climate Change and Digital Innovation Summit event. When children are in a Trust, they often don't understand what benefit and value it can bring. Apps for Good enables the children to come together and understand that they're part of something bigger, and they're working towards priorities as part of the larger organisation.
The sessions are really well planned and we love the fact that Apps for Good is so flexible in the way we can deliver it. We build our student missions around the UN Sustainability Goals and it’s a great vehicle to deliver against the climate action goal. Our students are quickly engaged, it suits our needs and would suit the needs of any school looking to bring their computing curriculum to life.
A ready-made gift came along called Apps for Good. That was 10 years ago and now we’ve've got all 16 schools in the Trust taking part in the Innovate for Climate Change course and this academic year, we're absolutely thrilled to have delivered the course to all 220 children in Year Seven at Denbigh High School.
