What is your product and who is it for?

With our app, you can take a picture of damaged or dated clothes and you will get a step by step guide on how to change the item. Everybody wears clothes so this app is for everyone.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

We made the app because we found out that too many clothes are ending up in landfill. Clothes are not biodegradable and just sit in the landfill for hundreds of years. On average, people only wear their clothes 10 times before they throw them away.

How does your product solve the problem?

Instead of people throwing away their clothes, they can get advice on how to fix them or change them instead. This will lead to less clothes ending up in landfill which will help our planet. Nobody ever thinks of the clothing you wear being a problem but it is a massive one. If there is no way to fix the problem then the person will be sent a link where they can buy an alternative/replacement item.

How does it work?

The app allows you to take a picture of the clothes using your phone's camera. Then it will return to you with step by step instructions on how to fix it or amend it. This will be done using AI. If the clothes can’t be fixed then it will send a link for the person to find an alternative to the clothes they are trying to fix.

Why vote for Clothes Fixer?

We made an app that fixes a massive problem in our world. It is our world to fix for the future and it is important that we take action now, before it is too late. We put a lot of effort into our app and we think it could make a big difference to the world we will grow up in. Although we are primary children, we have big ideas and can make a change. We think our idea was really different from our classmates' ideas.
