What is your product and who is it for?
Our product is Lightening Bikers and is aimed at novice/casual riders, health and fitness enthusiasts, and urban commuters.
What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?
Our app aims to alleviate traffic congestion by encouraging more people to ride their bikes instead of driving.
How does your product solve the problem?
Reducing carbon emissions by encouraging and nurturing a community of bike riding enthusiasts. Promoting physical activity by organising virtual races that encourage casual & competitive action in the real world by registering mileage on the app and tracking progress via the leader board.
How does it work?
Features on our app allow you to virtually organise races that track the distance that riders have travelled. The more you ride the more rewards you achieve.
Riders can choose to ride to landmarks around the world. They can choose to ride alone or as a virtual community of riders and race each other to the destination.
Users can customise their riding avatar by changing their virtual clothes and bike accessories. Record your personal best and strive to beat it. Track your progress via the leader board.
