What is your product and who is it for?

Our product is called “Make it sustainable” which is for helping and encouraging people to improve their lifestyle and reach the sustainable development goals.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

AWorld is the official app of the United Nations ACT NOW Campaign which helps people to reach the sustainable development goals. This platform will help to measure users’ CO2 footprint and provide suggestions to improve it. We understand much more about sustainable development through this platform.

Based on the idea of Aworld, our app will add more functions to educate and encourage people to improve their lifestyles. If more people are willing to make small changes to their lives, together we can have an impact. We can reach sustainable development goals.

How does your product solve the problem?

Many people may have the concept of environmental protection, they know they need to reduce waste by reusing or recycling unwanted items. However, most of them don’t have enough information to reduce, reuse and recycle effectively and consistently. We want to provide a one-stop platform to provide all the information and solutions, so people can recycle or sell their unwanted products easily.

How does it work?

Our app runs with a currency called Sustainable Development Point. (SD point) Our app will measure the user's CO2 footprint and provide suggestions, so users can get SD points by improving their lifestyle.

We will provide a barcode and QR code scanner in our app with a huge product database, users can get all the recycling information by scanning.

Our app will navigate users to the nearest recycling point, users can get SD points by scanning the QR code there.

Our platform has a reward system and marketplace function, people can trade their unwanted products with SD points. We can definitely reduce waste by reusing these items. Besides, all users can redeem their SD points for getting a free ride on an e-scooter, some discounts for charging EVs, and a public transport ticket. All the rewards can help to reduce the CO2 emission as well.
