What is your product and who is it for?

Our app is for the younger generation to inform them of the effect of climate change and how we can try to prevent it.

What inspired your idea, and why is it important to you?

Climate change is, and in the near future will be, a major problem for our planet. We aren't doing enough to prevent and protect our planet.

How does your product solve the problem?

Our product helps people connect with local sources for waste products, to energy usage throughout the world. It helps people exchange food waste for renewable energy.

Our app helps promote sustainable practices providing easy ways for people to recycle food waste and donate to the homeless. Users can take photos of their food and it will generate a list of composting facilities.

How does it work?

You get a map of local areas where you can exchange food waste for energy. It also gives you a percentage of how much food waste you've converted. It gives you percentages of the change that has been made across the world and you get an award, such as a token that gives you a coupon of any sort, for the amount of difference you've made.
